So, picture this, after trotting around the globe for what felt like a million years, I finally decided to treat myself to a little Kenyan adventure for my birthday in May 2019. It was high time to soak up the culture of Eastern Africa, you know what I mean? Now, I've been to more places than I can count, but let me tell you, the moment I stepped foot in Nairobi, it was like pure magic. I mean, seriously, words couldn't even come close to capturing the sheer awesomeness of that feeling.
But hold on a sec, because here comes the plot twist: the airlines, in all their infinite wisdom, managed to misplace my luggage. Can you believe it? I mean, c'mon, that's like the ultimate travel nightmare! But guess what, my friends? I was not about to let that ruin my trip. Oh no, not on my watch!
So, I made it my mission to track down a mall, a market, or ANY place where I could get my hands on some fresh new threads and, of course, some fabulous accessories. 'Cause you know what they say, accessories make the outfit, baby! And let me just say, when I strolled into that Nairobi market, my eyes were instantly glued to the vibrant, mind-blowing colors of the Maasai Beads. I was hooked! And from that moment on, my friends, history was made... LB
